I bet you have a lot of questions about pregnancy, birth, and having a new baby. Are you getting the answers you are looking for?
Most parents discover pretty early on in pregnancy that they aren't going to get their questions answered in their 15-minute doctor visits.
They turn to books and find that they are outdated, or trying to push them into a type of birth they aren't interested in.
They ask friends and family but get a whole lot of opinions, misinformation, and judgment. Finally, they go to childbirth classes that are held in an uncomfortable classroom, driven by the agenda of the teacher, and just plain boring.
You reserve something better!
Knowledge Is Power
What is a Perinatal Educator?
Perinatal education is a fancy word for education about anything that happens from pregnancy through postpartum. The education that I offer is custom-made for YOU so you don't have to slog through anyone else's opinions or waste time on topics that don't interest you.
If that sounds like what you want, the next question is... am I the Perinatal Educator for you?
Here's what I can promise you...
I understand the many challenges of preparing for birth and postpartum and I will never judge what you are doing to navigate this time.
I will take the time to learn your specific preferences.
I will share everything I know, tips, and resources to optimize your birth experience.
As your Perinatal Educator,
I will do many things
for you...
Listening to your experiences, understanding your needs and frustrations, without judgment. Offering education about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, so you know what to expect.
Teaching how to have an informed decision-making process for childbirth and beyond. Helping to develop a birth and postpartum plan so your medical team and support people know how to take care of you.
Offering practical guidance on positions and comfort measures during labor. Providing education about baby feeding.
Explaining infant sleep patterns so you can support your baby's healthy sleep. Sharing resources, tips, tricks, and options for your whole family.
I am certified as a Perinatal Educator by INEPES.

Everyone who wants to have a doula should be able to have one. I offer a flexible pricing scale as a way to acknowledge differences in income, family inheritance, privileges, and service costs that exist in our current economy.
As a small business owner, I can’t change economic inequality and social injustice as quickly as I’d like. But this is the way I’ve found to create more opportunities for equity, transform the way business is done, and make a difference in the lives of people in my community.
